MOUTH SPEAK LIFE, build others up, slow to speak
MOUTH SPEAK LIFE, build others up, slow to speak
be “quick to listen, slow to speak” instead.
But by pausing before speaking, we put the needs of others ahead of our own. We give them the opportunity to express their opinions
You don’t have to agree, but you should maintain a posture of respect.
“Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.”
Colossians 4:5-6 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/col.4.5-6.NASB1995
“The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth,”
2 Timothy 2:24-25 NASB1995

Quit being right at one another and figure out how to get right with one another. Because if the two of you aren’t right, it doesn’t matter who’s right.
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.”
Philippians 2:3-4 NASB1995

The tongue has the power to destroy and the power to build up.
every day, in every conversation, you have the power to speak life-
“only what is helpful for building others up.”
“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.”
James 3:17 NASB1995

“Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.”
Ephesians 4:29 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/eph.4.29.NASB1995
we can remember, surrender, and confess.
The apostle Paul, when he wrote a letter to Christians living in Rome in the first century, said that Christians are to offer all the parts of their bodies as living sacrifices to God.
Finally, we have to confess when we mess up.

Exodus 4:1-5 Moses fear and doubt SOAP
“Then Moses said, “What if they will not believe me or listen to what I say? For they may say, ‘The Lord has not appeared to you.’ ” The Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” And he said, “A staff.” Then He said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. But the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand and grasp it by its tail”—so he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand— “that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.””
Exodus 4:1-5 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/exo.4.1-5.NASB1995
O: when God asked Moses to do something, he appear to be fearful and doubtful or rather give excuses. Why is that so? Bcoz he’s thinking of his own ability rather than who his God is, When God assign Moses to carry out his work, he gave him the power, only when he obey n act on it, he see the sign and wonder.
Application:
When we hear fr God to do something, sometimes we too like Moses. I shld not doubt nor fearful bcoz God himself will empower us for his glory, it don’t depend on our ability But him. Remember We are God’s vessel, be ready for his use. Also, don’t be pessimistic and asked What if? What if? Like Moses worried other ppl response. I ought to choose faith and not fear in order to see great things happen. All to the glory of God.
Prayer: Father God, pls help me to abide in you daily….follow your command, your words, your way timely so that I can be an effective Christian ready and equip for my master use, that will bring glory to your name most high, in Jesus name I asked n prayed, amen!

Cell 15/3/23 SoAp Genesis 49:22-26 NASB1995
““Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a spring; Its branches run over a wall. The archers bitterly attacked him, And shot at him and harassed him; But his bow remained firm, And his arms were agile, From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob (From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel), From the God of your father who helps you, And by the Almighty who blesses you With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that lies beneath, Blessings of the breasts and of the womb. The blessings of your father Have surpassed the blessings of my ancestors Up to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills; May they be on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of the one distinguished among his brothers.”
Genesis 49:22-26 NASB1995

⭕️
Joseph Blessings is so large and full, it’s was abundant. Overflow to his 2 sons. At the same time, his life is not a bait of roses, he too face lots of challenges & persecution but he triumphed over all by the grace of God & the beauty or key word I find here is “the Lord was with him” thru out his life to strengthen and help him.
It also show that he serve a Covenanted God. God of Abraham Isaac Jacob and now Joseph. We can see The promise of. Abraham blessings flows thru the generations.
Application: though Joseph under attack, persecution yet I see he remain strong and trusted the Lord. He never ask why God, why ….!
He wasn’t drown by persecution n fear but persevere thru his trial. One thing I can also see that he remained faithful during good and bad times.
He’s a good example for us.
A:
I too must remember to anchor on God thru all circumstances and when faced trial like Joseph trusting him and remain faithful like Joseph. The key word is Immanuel, “God is with us”
